Berlin Powers Bugatti's Future: New Design Studio Opens

Bugatti has established its new Design Studio in Berlin, choosing the German capital as the creative hub for developing its next generation of automotive design excellence, according to a company press release.
The 1,100 square-meter studio occupies a protected historical building with a fascinating past - originally built as a power station in the 1920s before transforming into a techno club in the 1990s. Now reimagined for its new purpose, the space artfully preserves original elements like ceramic tiling and century-old cast iron staircases while incorporating cutting-edge technology.
Bugatti's international design team comprises professionals from 22 different countries, working across specialties including vehicle exterior design, color and trim, and 3D modeling. The studio environment was specifically created to attract and inspire this world-class talent pool.
The workspace harmoniously blends heritage with innovation, featuring state-of-the-art virtual reality technology that replaces traditional clay modeling. Designers utilize head trackers positioned throughout the studio to create and refine millimeter-perfect digital renderings of vehicle concepts with remarkable precision and efficiency.
The studio also serves as an immersive space where Bugatti customers can participate in the design process for their commissioned vehicles, exploring options for materials, visual elements, and personalization under the guidance of the design team.
Beyond its function as a creative workspace, the studio's flexible design allows it to transform into an event venue, with movable workbenches, adjustable mood lighting, and adaptable floor space - making it a versatile home for Bugatti's design future.
